UGent TechTransfer Office supports researchers in bringing innovations
to society. To strengthen its Intellectual Property team, it is looking for an IP Advisor in the life sciences.
Role
You identify and protect valuable research results, assess patentability
and market relevance, manage patent applications, support IP aspects
in valorisation projects, and help raise IP awareness within UGent.
Profile
Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biological/Biomedical Sciences or Health Sciences; strong interest in academia–industry collaboration; excellent English; organised communicator; independent and team-oriented; patent experience is a plus.

CESPE Manager
Ghent University is looking for a Manager for the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Pharmaceutical Engineering and Manufacturing (CESPE), a platform that brings together academic research and industrial innovation in (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Role
You will define CESPE’s strategic direction, oversee daily operations and team management, and build strong collaborations with academic and industrial partners. In addition, you will identify funding opportunities and represent CESPE within relevant networks.
Profile
You hold a PhD (or equivalent through experience) in a relevant field, have experience in the (bio)pharmaceutical sector, and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities. You are a strategic, results-driven professional who communicates effectively with both academic and industrial stakeholders. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
