Business Developer Biostimulants and Biopesticides (CropFit)
Ghent University strongly invests in the valorisation of research through its Technology Transfer Office and IOF network. For the CropFit consortium, active in biostimulants and biopesticides, Ghent University is looking for a Business Developer to translate innovative research results into applications for the agro-industry.
Role
You will act as a bridge between research and industry, supporting the valorisation of technologies through collaborations, licensing, and spin-off creation. You identify market-driven opportunities, stimulate technology development, and establish strategic partnerships. In addition, you support researchers in their valorisation efforts and promote the consortium at national and international level.
Profile
PhD in life sciences or equivalent through experience; at least 5 years of experience in the agro-industry or business development. Strong affinity with research valorisation and academia–industry collaboration. Entrepreneurial, communicative (Dutch/English), and experienced in project management, intellectual property, and partner development. An MBA and a relevant network are considered an asset.

A temporary position (up to 2 years) within a dynamic and impact-driven environment, in close collaboration with Ghent University researchers and the Technology Transfer Office.
