VLAIO (Agency for Innovation & Entrepreneurship) is the Flemish government's point of contact for all entrepreneurs in Flanders. We stimulate and support innovation and entrepreneurship and contribute to a favourable business climate.
- Baekeland mandates: industrial doctorates (4 years) for employees with a master's degree.
- Innovation mandates: research assignments (2years-3years) for employees with a doctoral degree.

The EU team has built up extensive expertise in Horizon Europe and related European and international programs.
- Marie S. Curie projects under Pillar 1 of Horizon Europe:Â financing to train doctoral students and young postdocs. A fixed budget is paid monthly for personnel, operating, network and training costs and overheads.
- Collaborative projects under Pillar 2 of Horizon Europe: collaborate with different European partners, such as universities, research institutes, NGOs, policymakers or other relevant actors. All appropriate staff and operating costs can be contributed to this (70-100% reimbursement).
- EIC projects under Pillar 3 of Horizon Europe: focused on identifying and supporting breakthrough technologies and innovations with the potential to scale up internationally and become market leaders.
