Entrepreneur in Residence - Chemical Technologies
Ghent University is looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence to accelerate the commercialization of innovative chemical technologies and to support the creation of spin-offs. In this role, you will guide technology projects from concept to investment-ready company, work closely with researchers, business developers, and the TechTransfer Office, and support industrial collaborations, licensing, and spin-offs.
We are looking for a master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry/Biotechnology, or a related discipline, with experience as a founder or co-founder of a technology company. Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or biomedical sector, knowledge of IP strategies, business models, and technology commercialization, and strong communication skills in English (Dutch recommended) are required.
We offer a fixed-term contract (max. 2 years) within a stimulating environment, with room for autonomy, impact, and career opportunities in UGent spin-offs.
